Needle rollers according to GOST 6870

Needle rollers are parts that can be supplied either separately or as part of more complex products, such as roller bearings. They are cylindrical products with a significant length-to-diameter ratio. They are most often used in bearings with limited dimensions in the radial direction. Execution A implies a spherical shape of the end face, execution B — a flat one. Rollers A have a rounded profile at the ends, which reduces stresses that cause damage to parts.

The standard sizes and tolerances of these products are fixed in GOST 6870. Products of several degrees of accuracy are produced, and the tolerances for the diameter of the roller directly depend on the overall degree of accuracy of the manufacturing unit. Needle rollers are supplied in boxes containing one standard size, made with one specific degree of tolerance.

The designation according to the State Standard is indicated on the box, which makes it easy to determine the type of product, the accuracy of its manufacture and the average batch tolerance.
