The plant started its history at the time when Moscow bearing reconditioning works was evacuated to Shumikha. On the place of future company Shumikha Bearings reconditioning of antifriction bearings which were very important for the military hardware at the time was started. Afetr the war the plant successfully continued its work and for instance in 1960 the output of reconditioned bearings reached its maximum 402,000 pieces per year.

SHB reaches its maximum level of output. Total yield equals to 601 million pieces/year. Range of goods rose to the number of 20 articles. In 1993 the plant became a joint stock company Shumikha Bearing Needle Roller Plant.

The plant mastered a new type of product and started loose needle rollers production line. In 1962 Shumikha Bearings supplied the first batch of them.

The first batch of cylindrical rollers was produced. In 2007 the plant successfully underwent quality management certification ISO 9001. A year later SHB begins production of  cage assemblies. The range of products reaches 200 articles.

Shumikha Bearings products obtained trademark because they were already being exported to 15 countries.
